One of Europe’s most exciting youngsters, Sebastian Giovinco, is  set to sign a contract extension with Juventus.

It is believed his new contract will see him earn £650,000 plus bonuses a year and extend his stay with Juventus until 2013.

“I am really happy, the problems regarding the renewal have all been resolved,” said Giovinco.

Reports have suggested Giovinco wants guarantees of first-team football from Juventus, something the club is not prepared to offer.

“We will have to see what happens,” agent Alessandro D’Amico said.

“There has been no direct contact with any other club in Italy or overseas and there’s no problem with Claudio Ranieri – Giovinco will get his chance and he has shown that he can stay at Juve.”

Giovinco has been linked with several clubs recently, including Premier League side Arsenal.
