Giroud set for Arsenal stay

Arsene Wenger has insisted that Olivier Giroud will not be sold when the transfer window reopens next month, according to the Independent.

The France international has been long linked with a move away from the Emirates after starting just a handful of league matches last season, and none this term.

However the Gunners boss is keen to retain his services as he looks to maintain a challenge on four fronts.

Whilst the league title is out of the North London club’s reach they are keen to get back in to the top four while they remain in the Europa League and EFL Cup with their FA Cup defence set to start next month.

Giroud came of the bench to score a late equaliser against Southampton on Sunday afternoon and is set to be among the substitutes again for Wednesday’s trip to West Ham United where he is priced at 17/16 to score at anytime.
