Italian daily newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Liverpool are weighing up January bid for Fiorentina striker Giuseppe Rossi.
The Reds have experienced problems up front this season, having scored mere 18 goals in 15 Premier League fixtures and attacking reinforcements are clearly needed.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made Fiorentina’s Giuseppe Rossi his number one target.
The same source claims that the Reds are prepared to offer around £18 million for the player who last scored a league goal over a year and a half ago.
Rossi missed the entire 2014/2015 season through a knee ligament injury and he has failed to score in eight Serie A appearances since returning into action.
But, it appears that Jurgen Klopp believes the Italy international can rediscover the form that saw him become one of Europe’s most sought after forwards a couple of years ago.
