Gladbach agree deal for Tobias Strobl

German media outlet Bild understands that Borussia M’gladbach are set to complete the signing of Hoffenheim footballer Tobias Strobl.

The 25-year-old has reportedly agreed a four-year deal with die Fohlen and he will be joining on a free transfer in the summer.

Strobl is seen as a great long-term replacement for Havard Nordtveit, who will be moving to West Ham at the end of the current campaign.

Just like the former Arsenal youngster, Strobl is capable of playing at centre-back, right-back and as a holding midfielder, and it is this versatility that is seen as one of his biggest qualities.

His promising displays have gone under the radar in recent years, but die Fohlen officials were impressed by the player while making a check on his teammates Kevin Volland and Nadiem Amiri.

Strobl has so far amassed exactly 100 Bundesliga appearances and a move to Borussia Park will give him a chance to get a first taste of European football.
