Jamaica finish third in Group A of the CONCACAF Gold Cup following a 1-0 win over El Salvador, who in turn are eliminated from the tournament.

The only goal of the match was scored in the 70th minute, when Omar Cummings scored from a Shelton assist.

As the Gold Cup uses head-2-head over goal record, the small win is enough for Jamaica to move into third place at the expense of El Salvador. Both teams have three points and although El Salvador scored more goals at this tournament, their campaign has come to an end.

Jamaica have to wait for results from the other two groups this weekend.

Meanwhile, Canada had already secured the top spot in this group thanks to a 1-1 draw with Costa Rica, who thanks to the result of the other group game finish in second place.
