Goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes insists he is still first-choice at Tottenham Hotspur, despite the recent signing of Carlo Cudicini from Chelsea.

“Everybody spoke to me about the signing of Carlo Cudicini, but Tony Parks, the goalkeeping coach, said to me ‘you are still the number one of Tottenham Hotspur’”, the Brazilian told the London Evening Standard.

“Cudicini is a good goalkeeper, but did not play so much for Chelsea. This week I’ve seen him for the first time and I think it’s a good signing for us”, he added.
