The agent of Mario Gomez has refuted suggestions the Bayern Munich striker is close to joining Fiorentina.
The 27-year-old is widely expected to depart the Bavarian club after being reduced to a bit-part role during the 2012-13 campaign by 21-goal forward Mario Mandzukic.
However, the player’s representative Uli Ferber has insisted any links with the Serie A side are premature.
“He has not agreed with any club and will train today, and in the next few days, in Munich, as normal,” he told Sport1.
“Anything else is just pure speculation at the moment.”
Gomez managed 11 Bundesliga goals last term but was restricted to just nine starts in the German top flight.
The Germany international also failed to earn a starting berth in the UEFA Champions League final win over Borussia Dortmund, although he did replace Mandzukic in injury time.
