Borussia Dortmund midfielder Gonzalo Castro has arrived in Stuttgart where he is expected to complete a transfer said to be worth between €5 and €7 million.
The 31-year-old Germany international has been with Borussia Dortmund since 2015. He endured a difficult campaign during the 2017/18 season and will be looking to get his career back on track at Stuttgart.
Castro was pictured at the Stuttgart train station and should complete his medical on Friday before the German club officially announces a deal.
The arrival of an experienced midfielder such as Gonzalo Castro is expected to raise the squad quality for Stuttgart who are coming off from a successful first season back in the Bundesliga.
Not only did they manage to avoid relegation but they also reached the top-half of the table, finishing the season seventh and will most certainly want to build from there.
