West Brom captain Jonathan Greening has pleaded with the club to stick with boss Tony Mowbray even if they suffer relegation. “I hope the chairman shows faith in the manager. Personally I really enjoy playing for him and believe in how he likes us to play and training is always good,” said Greening.

“The fans really like him as well and I think he is trying to build a good team for the future. The gaffer has been fine, always bright and bubbly around the training ground. He has been great. He is always upbeat and just wants us to do well.

“I am sure the chairman knows how good he is and hopefully he will back him all the way.”
