Inter Milan are readying a late bid for Gremio centre-back Rhodolfo, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
With Marco Andreolli and Danilo D’Ambrosio set to miss at least few weeks of action, the Nerazzurri boss Roberto Mancini is eager to recruit a defender before the January window closes.
Seeing as Inter were unable to find an agreement with Granada for Jeison Murillo, they seem to have turned their attention towards Gremio centre-back Rhodolfo.
The Nerazzurri hope to sign the 28-year-old on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy, and they expect to wrap up the deal in the coming days.
Rhodolfo has spent his entire career up to date in Brazil, representing Atletico Paranense, Sao Paulo and Gremio, making 269 league appearances.
The Nerazzurri suffered a real blow to their Champions League hopes by losing at home to Torino, but they are 10/3 to see off Napoli in Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
