Guardiola wants Claudio Bravo at Man City

Manchester City could try and sign Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo from Barcelona, AS has learned.

It was revealed yesterday that former Catalans coach Pep Guardiola would take over the reigns at Etihad ahead of next season and it would appear he is already working on summer reinforcements.

AS understands that the current Bayern Munich boss is a big fan of Claudio Bravo and that he wants to take him to the Etihad.

Even though Manchester City currently have Joe Hart as the starting goalkeeper, Guardiola believes the Chilean would be a better option due to his impressive footwork that nicely complements his shot-stopping skills.

And with Guardola set to be given a huge transfer kitty, the €40 million release clause in the player’s contract is unlikely to prove an issue.

Claudio Bravo, 32, has been exceeding expectations at Camp Nou, quickly developing into an integral part of Luis Enrique’s squad.
