(GSM) – Arnor Gudjohnsen, father and agent of Eidur Gudjohnsen, has denied that the Icelandic striker will move away from Monaco.
Reports have suggested that Gudjohnsen is seeking a switch away from the Ligue 1 team after a reported bust-up with coach Guy Lacombe.
Gudjohnsen joined Monaco from Barcelona last summer but has been unable to find his best form since completing the move.
However, the agent insists that his son and client is staying at Monaco. He says that he is currently unaware of clubs after Gudjohsen’s signature come January.
“No I have not heard anything about Eidur leaving,” Gudjohnsen Snr told skysports.com.
“There is nothing happening at the moment and all Eidur is doing is trying to adapt to French football as it is a whole new football world for him.
“Eidur has no plans to leave Monaco, but in football you never know what will happen.”
Gudjohnsen played with Chelsea and Barcelona after making his name with Bolton Wanderers.
