Guidetti wants Feyenoord return

Manchester City striker John Guidetti has promised to return to Feyenoord one day in the future.

The Swedish striker enjoyed a lot of success during a loan spell at De Kuyp last season, scoring 20 goals in just 23 Eredivisie appearances.

The 20-year-old admits he fell in love with the club shortly after joining them from Manchester City.

“With Feyenoord it was like when I saw Sanna, my girlfriend – love at first sight”, the youngster told Voetbal International. “I think the love was mutual immediately.”

The player has since returned to Etihad Stadium, but has failed to make a single appearance for the Citizens due to the fierce competition for places.

Guidetti was widely tipped to leave Manchester City in the summer, but was eventually forced to remain at Eastlands.

The Sweden international says he hasn’t forgotten Feyenoord and promises to return to De Kuyp if the opportunity arises.

“One day I will return to Rotterdam. I cherish the memories and because of them I will return for sure.

“Someday I will play for Feyenoord. Or better, it is my dream to play for Feyenoord once again.”
