Haiti join the United States in the quarter final stage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, as the two held each other to a 1-1 draw in Foxborough.

The USA took the lead through Davy Arnaud after just six minutes but Vaniel Sirin levelled right after the break. Another minutes later, a great strike from Mones Chery even made it 2-1 to Haiti.

But the United States gave it all they had to avoid their first ever defeat in a Gold Cup group phase, and got their reward in added time as Stuart Holden sent a beautiful and unstoppable shot past keeper Zephirin, 2-2.

As a result of this draw, the USA finish first in this group and Haiti are certain of a quarter final spot as well. The Caribbeans may still finish third, but have more points than Group A’s number three Jamaica.
