Halmstad starlet Emir Kujovic has revealed his club turned down two bids for him from Scottish giants Celtic during the January transfer window.
The Sweden Under-21 international admits he is disappointed that Halmstads did not allow him to join Celtic.
“Things aren’t looking that good,” he told Aftonbladet.
“What can I say? I am disappointed of course. It was a big club that wanted me, so I was up for it.”
The 21-year-old is now ready to work hard for Halmstad in order to save his dream of joining a bigger club.
“I’ll just have to work hard for Halmstad,” he added.
“The goal is still to become a professional abroad, so hopefully I will make it next time.”
