Borussia Moenchengladbach and Hamburg have drawn 2-2 in their friendly match at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai.
Gladbach, playing in their first game since the start of the Bundesliga’s winter break, had to come from behind twice to ensure honours were even on Wednesday.
Milan Badelj opened the scoring for Hamburg but Filip Daems restored parity for Moenchengladbach from the penalty spot.
Hamburg looked on track to extend their winning streak in the United Arab Emirates to three games after Artjoms Rudnevs struck.
But it was Gladbach who had the final say, Branimir Hrgota scoring the decisive equaliser four minutes from time.
Hamburg will play their final friendly game against Austrian outfit Austria Vienna, while Moenchengladbach take on fellow Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt ahead of the German top tier’s resumption on January 18.
