Hamburg conceded an away goal and were held to a draw (1-1) at home by Turkish giants Galatasaray at the Nordbank Arena. Hamburg trainer Martin Jol was not too down after the result, which sees his side needing a good performance in the second-leg in Turkey.
“In the first-half we didn’t play football,” Jol moaned after the final whistle. “In the second-half it was better and we had four or five chances. But when you just pass the ball back and forth in defence, then nothing will happen up front. However, the result is okay,” he added.
