Hamburg to offload two forwards

Hamburger SV have plans to cash in on both Ivica Olic and Artoms Rudnevs in January, according to Bild.

Having spent last few years fighting for their lives, the Red Shorts have finally enjoyed a strong start to the season, climbing to seventh in the overall standings.

However, the financial situation is far from perfect and the club chiefs want to save some money in order to offer coach Bruno Labbadia the contract he deserves.

They aim to do so by offloading Ivica Olic and Artoms Rudnevs in the January window, some six months before their respective contracts are due to expire.

Both footballers earn lucrative salaries considering their current status in the squad and Hamburg are ready to listen to offers for their services.

And while Ivica Olic has been heavily linked with a move to the MLS, Rudnevs is believed to be on the radar of clubs from Turkey and Greece.
