Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder is set to miss Inter’s next two Serie A matches. The Dutch playmaker picked up a hamstring injury in the match against Catania (2-1 win).
Sneijder, who had a decisive role in the win against Cataina by scoring the second goal, will miss this week’s competition matches against Palermo (Thursday) and Livorno (Sunday).
It’s doubtful that the 25-year-old will return for the Champions League match against Dynamo Kiev, next Tuesday.
“Sneijder’s injury is a strain. There is a lesion. Will he be available for the Kiev game? As always, we will do everything we can, but a strain is a strain. We will see how things go in the coming days, but it’s an important muscle,” Inter’s chief of medical staff, Franco Combi said on the club’s offical website.
