Portsmouth boss Paul Hart has blocked a potential move for former Wigan striker Amr Zaki, fearing the striker could become a disruptive influence at the club.
Portsmouth owner Sulaiman Al-Fahim is believed to have agreed a fee with Egyptian side Zamalek SC, although it seems that Harts decision has ruled out any move for the striker.
Al-Fahim said: “Its not my decision, but Amr loves Portsmouth. He calls me and tells me he wants to be part of the team.”
Zaki’s agent Nadir Sawqi had claimed that the Egyptian was in negotiations with the south coast club back July, however the deal fell through with the chaos surrounding Fratton Park during the summer.
