Hell “Bent” Moyes

Everton boss David Moyes is reportedly lining up a shock move to bring in Spurs striker Darren Bent as an immediate replacement for what seems to be the inevitable loss of Andy Johnson.

The Daily Mirror reports that Moyes wants to sign the out-of -favour, 24 year old striker for around half the sum Tottenham paid to get him from Charlton Athletic. That would be around £8 million. The England international started only 11 games in the Premier League last season but still managed to score six goals.

Bent is unlikely to be a part of Juande Ramos’s plans and free-spending Tottenham could let him go to help finance their other ambitions. Sunderland were also reported to have shown an interest but the speedy forward seems more willing to go to Everton.
