The Daily Mirror this morning reports that Thierry Henry is unhappy at Barcelona and is in line for a return to the Premier League in the January transfer window.

That is hardly news! Henry still can’t get a confirmed starting place at Barcelona, certainly in the position he wants to play, and has said quite openly that if he doesn’t play regularly, he will think of moving on.

What I can’t see is Henry coming back to England. Arsenal surely wouldn’t want him and it would be difficult to imagine him playing for anyone else. I can’t really see any of the other top four clubs wanting him either.

I think Henry will either stay in Spain or make a return to France. Whatever happens, it promises to be one of the big transfer sagas in January.

Please Henry don’t come back to the Premier League, I don’t want to see you in a kit besides Arsenal’s, and neither do the rest of the Gooners. Return to France, perhaps for PSG, your friends Giuly and Makelele are there, they have a good squad, and need a superb striker. A perfect fit, plus you will finally be able to return home to Les Ulis if you want to, since you’ll be in Paris. Do not join another Prem. side besides Arsenal or all the love you have garnered from the Arsenal faithful over the years will be tarnished.

I want him to join MLS and further its movement towards the official retirement league.

I want to see more great players such as him (zidane, Ljungberg, and others have talked about it too) come because the competition is weak as it stands. But even worse than the competition is the commentary. ESPN must be using the interns for matches, I can’t watch it.

I cant go back in time to see the NY Cosmos with Pele, Beckenbauer, and others. I do hope there can be a future for former stars in MLS though.
