Herrera set for new Manchester United deal

The Mail Online understand that Manchester United are readying a new contract for midfielder Ander Herrera.

The Spain international has just one year remaining on his current deal having signed from Athletic Bilbao in the summer of 2014, with the Red Devils having an option to extend that deal by a further twelve months.

However having become a key figure under Jose Mourinho, a fresh £120,000-per-week deal is being drawn up, with United officials keen to conclude negotiations before the start of next season.

Since arriving at Old Trafford Herrera has racked up one hundred and thirteen appearances in all competitions, scoring fifteen goals and has winner’s medals in both the FA Cup and League Cup.

He assisted the first goal and scored the second as Mourinho’s men beat league leaders Chelsea by two goals to nil on Sunday afternoon.

They travel to Burnley on Sunday afternoon with the away win priced at 1/2.
