Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has demanded a response from his team after their shock defeat against BATE Borisov.
The German giants were surprisingly beaten 3-1 by the Borisov side in Tuesday’s Champions League encounter.
Heynckes is determined for his team to put the loss behind them when they take on Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
“We need to get back to winning ways and replicate the things that made us strong,” Heynckes said.
“My players know what was lacking against BATE. We have to improve our pressing game and switching between defence and attack. I’m confident the team will do just that.”
Heynckes is wary of the threat posed by an improving Hoffenheim side, who have collected seven points from their past three league outings.
“Hoffenheim have recovered their confidence and poise,” he said.
“They get the ball forward very quickly from defence, and on top of all that, they have some very good players.”
