Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has dismissed claims he has agreed to take over as manager of Real Madrid.

Outgoing Bayern midfielder Anatoliy Tymoshchuk had suggested that the German was “99 per cent” certain to join the Spanish giants in the wake of Jose Mourinho’s departure.

However, speaking ahead his side’s DFB-Pokal final clash with Stuttgart on Saturday, Heynckes said no such deal had been confirmed.

“I do not know where Anatoliy got this from,” he said.

“Of course we joke around and everything about those rumours, but I do not know why he thinks that it is a done deal.

“If I am going to be in a good mood I will talk about it tomorrow (Saturday). If not I will make an announcement in the first week of June.”

As well as Heynckes, Carlo Ancelotti is another name to have been linked with the vacant post at the Bernabeu with the outgoing Mourinho likely to make a return to former club Chelsea.

Heynckes, who will be replaced by Pep Guardiola at the Allianz Arena ahead of next season, can wrap up the treble for Bayern with a win over Stuttgart in Berlin on Saturday.
