Hodgson predicts big future for Zaha

England manager Roy Hodgson expects Wilfried Zaha to make a big impact at Manchester United next season.

The 20-year-old will play his final game for Championship side Crystal Palace in the play-off final against Watford on Monday after agreeing to join Manchester United ahead of the 2013-14 campaign in January.

Zaha won his first England cap under Hodgson in November last year, coming on as a substitute in a 4-2 defeat against Sweden, and the former Liverpool boss feels the forward will be a success at Old Trafford.
“I like Wilfried Zaha. I think he is a good player,” he said.
“I went to Palace not so long back to have a look at him and of course he has a massive move to Manchester United. It seems to me he is on the threshold of something big.”
The Palace academy product was the last signing made by former United boss Alex Ferguson and ex-Everton chief David Moyes will come in as a replacement.
However, in spite of the coaching change, Hodgson feels young players like Zaha will be given a chance to shine with the Premier League champions.
He added: “When a club like Manchester United is prepared to pay a lot of money for a player because they will help them to win things it is a tremendous boost to both confidence and ego.”

Zaha has made 49 appearances in all competitions for the Selhurst Park outfit this season, scoring eight goals including a double in the play-off semi-final win over Brighton earlier in the month.
