Hoffenheim eyeing Taras Stepanenko

ESPN is reporting that Bundesliga high-flyers Hoffenheim are weighing up move for Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Taras Stepanenko.

Head coach Julian Nagelsmann wants to ensure the club remain on the uptrend after several very promising seasons and he plans to further reinforce the squad in January.

According to ESPN, Ukraine star Taras Stepanenko has emerged as one of his top targets.

The 28-year-old is valued at €8 million and he boasts an impressive European and international experience, having earned 42 Ukraine caps and made 47 appearances in European competitions.

Former West Ham boss Slaven Bilic wanted to bring Stepanenko to London in January, but chances are his replacement David Moyes will not be making a move on the experienced footballer.
