Hull complete Mason capture

Hull City have pipped Sunderland to the signing of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason, according to the Daily Star.

The England international has put pen to paper on a deal with the Tigers, despite Sunderland throwing their hat into the ring in a bid to scupper the move.

Caretaker manager Mike Phealan is working tirelessly as he looks to add to his depleted squad, with the Yorkshire club starting the Premier League campaign with just thirteen fit senior players.

Mason broke into the Spurs first team in the 2012-13, making his top-flight debut the following season and in total racked up seventy appearances for the North London outfit in all competitions, scoring four goals.

He has also turned out for no less than five sides on loan and won his one and only senior international cap so far as a substitute in a 1-1 friendly draw with Italy last March.
