Hull City signed Republic of Ireland defender Paul McShane on a season-long loan from Sunderland on Saturday.
McShane joined the Black Cats from West Bromwich Albion in July 2007 and played 21 times for the club last season, but fell out of favour with Roy Keane this season.
The 22-year-old centre-back will be unable to play for the Tigers against Sunderland during the duration of the loan.
