Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj has signed a new contract that will keep him at the Stadio San Paolo until June 2021.
Hysaj’s previous deal was due to expire in 2020, but he has now inked a one-year extension as a reward for his fine performances.
The 22-year-old joined Napoli from Empoli ahead of the 2015-16 campaign and has since developed into an important first-team member at last season’s Serie A runners-up.
He missed just one league encounter last term, due to suspension, and has made seven appearances in all competitions this season.
Hysaj follows in the footsteps of Kalidou Koulibaly, who previously signed a new and improved deal with Napoli until 2021.
