Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt has revealed he could leave the club in the January transfer window.
Kuyt is eager to play for former Spurs boss Martin Jol at German side Hamburg.
Kuyt said: “I am happy at Liverpool but Jol’s one of the best Dutch coaches and I’d possibly like to work with him in the future.”
The Bundesliga leaders tried to sign the Dutch striker in the summer, but were put off by Liverpool’s £14million price tag.
Martin Jol told Hollands Sportsweek: “I would gladly have signed Kuyt and Huntelaar. Who could refuse the opportunity?
“I have no problem that the club was unable to get them. The quality of my attackers is more than enough, although with Huntelaar we would have had a real goal-getter.”
Reports says Jol tried to sign Kuyt in 2006 but the, then Feyenoord striker, instead joined Liverpool.
