Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has said that he desperately wants to sign Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Speaking before his departure for Herning in Denmark before their UEFA Cup fixture against Midtjylland he said that he hoped to have the England winger signed before the transfer window ended on Monday 1 September.
The twenty six year old Wright-Phillips first made a name for himself when he played for Manchester City before having been transferred to Chelsea.
However the players agent Wayne Lindsay has repeatedly said that he would do everything in his power to ensure that his player secures his future at Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile Hughes has also displayed some interest in Craig Bellamy who played under him for both his country Wales and Blackburn Rovers.
