The injury crisis at Juventus continues: striker Vincenzo Iaquinta will have surgery on a damaged meniscus on Tuesday. The Italian international will be out for at least a month.
Iaquinta picked up his injury during a training match on Saturday and already missed out on Juventus’ match against Siena on Sunday (0-1 win).
“The examinations have showed the need for an operation to Iaquinta’s meniscus in his left knee. The operation will take place on Tuesday and it will be carried out by Professor Flavio Quaglia in Turin’s Fornaca clinic,” the club stated on its official website.
According to Tuttosport, Iaquinta will be out for at least a month which means the 29-year-old will miss out on several important matches such as the crucial Champions League matches against Maccabi Haifa (November 3) and Bordeaux (November 25).
It’s not the news Ciro Ferrara wanted to hear as Alessandro Del Piero is still injured, leaving him with few options up front.
