Zlatan Ibrahimovic will face a disciplinary committee for allegedly stamping on Dejan Lovren in Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-0 win over Lyon.

The Sweden international appeared to catch the Croatian centre-back on the forehead with his boot at the Parc des Princes, causing a head injury.

A video of the incident was examined by the French Professional Football League (LFP), and the 31-year-old has been invited to present his version of events in front of the commission.

“The commission, prompted by the Viewing Commission, calls up Ibrahimovic following his actions in the 40th minute against Lovren for a hearing on January 10 2013,” an official communication read.

The former Barcelona striker has scored 18 goals in just 15 Ligue 1 games this season, but has already received one red card, against Saint-Etienne in November.
