Ibrahimovic could still have Manchester United future

The Times understands that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could yet re-sign for Manchester United.

The striker is currently recovering from a serious injury he sustain in the Europa League quarter-final win over Anderlecht back in April.

He is undergoing treatment at United’s Carrington training complex, despite being released from his contract at the end of last season.

The club’s staff have been impressed by the thirty-five year old’s progress and are confident that he could be match-ready by the end of the calendar year and Mourinho has hinted that he could use the player for the second half of the season.

Ibrahimovic, who signed from Paris Saint Germain twelve months ago, racked up forty-six appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils last season, scoring twenty-eight goals and helped the club win both the Europa League and the EFL Cup adding to the multitude of trophies he has lifted in Italy, Spain, France and the Netherlands.
