Paris Saint-Germain star Zlatan Ibrahimovic is eager to get underway with the revolution at the Parc des Princes.
The former AC Milan striker arrived in France alongside fellow Serie A luminaries Ezequiel Lavezzi and Thiago Silva and feels his team-mates are ready for the challenge in furthering their quest for domestic and continental trophies.
“I have nothing but positive things to say about Paris Saint-Germain,” the 30-year-old told Le Parisien. “We will be great, but to me, we already are.
“Everything has gone well in the two weeks and three games I’ve played here. This team does not just go grow from season to season, but day by day.
“This club already has big dreams and the team intends to deliver on them. We’ll be playing against very large teams in the Champions League, but we are up to the challenge. This side has been constructed to be competitive everywhere.”
Carlo Ancelotti’s men opened their Ligue 1 campaign with a 2-2 draw at home against Lorient, with Ibrahimovic bagging two goals.
They travel away to Ajaccio in the next round of league fixtures.
