According to reports in Italy, Lazio striker Ciro Immobile is set to sign a new contract with the club. With 68 goals in 91 appearances since making the move from Sevilla two years ago, it’s safe to say that Immobile’s run in Italy thus far has been a resounding success. He seems to be comfortable in his current position and with him leading the way, Lazio can continue to be a force both in Serie A and Europe.

At the age of 28, he’s in the prime of his career, with his current deal running through until 2022. These reports, however, indicate that he’s set to sign a one-year extension which will see him earn €3.5 million a year. There’s a good chance at this stage that he could play out the rest of his days in football with Lazio, which could easily lead to him becoming a club legend if he keeps up his current form.
