Blackburn boss Paul Ince is confident of keeping striker Roque Santa Cruz at the club.
Santa Cruz has been linked with a January move to Manchester City and has also been quoted that he would like such a move.
Santa Cruz would be reunited with former boss Mark Hughes if he decides to leave Ewood Park for Eastlands in January.
Ince said: “Roque is not one to rock the boat — if that was the case he would have gone in the summer.
“He’s said he loves it at Blackburn and if there was an issue he would have come to see me.
“He has not done that so I presume he’s happy.
“But we’re only a few weeks away from January and it’s now that all the speculation starts.”
