Iniesta wants to end his career at Barcelona

Veteran midfielder Andres Iniesta has made it clear that he would prefer to remain at Camp Nou for the remainder of his career.

The 32-year-old has been a member of the first team since 2002 and he has another two years left on his current deal.

Iniesta will soon sit down with the club officials to learn whether he will be offered a new contract, but he is adamant he has no plans to leave his beloved club any time soon.

“I would like to end my career at Barcelona. I have a contract until 2018 and I want to enjoy the moment,” the attacking midfielder confessed to Cadena Cope.

Andres Iniesta has been a key member for both club and country for some ten years now, and he is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in the history of the game.

The highly rated footballer has so far made 392 La Liga appearances for the Catalans, scoring 34 goals and lifting eight league trophies in the process.
