Romanian striker Adrian Mutu will miss the start of the Italian Serie A and the upcoming international friendly with Latvia.
The forward had his elbow dislocated and needs at least two weeks to recover. This was revealed by Paul Zaharia, spokesman of the Romanian football association.
The injury comes at a bad moment as Fiorentina face a couple of tough matches in the coming week.
‘La Viola’ travel to the Czech Republic for their UEFA Champions League encounter with Slavia Prague, and open the Italian season against Juventus four days later.
