Sporting CP highly rated star Joao Mario is hours away from completing a move to Serie A giants Inter Milan.

According to Portugal daily Abola, Nerazzurri have reached an agreement with Sporting over a transfer worth €50 million after several weeks of intense negotiations.

Portugal giants were reluctant to go below the €60 million asking price for their prized asset, while Inter initially refused to pay more than €40 million. It is believed that an agreement was ultimately reached mostly thanks to the player’s insistence.

Joao Mario has been offered a five-year deal worth €3 million a year.

The 23-year-old midfielder made 33 Primeria Liga appearances last season for Sporting CP scoring six goals in the process.

Portugal international went on to continue his fine form this summer with impressive showing at the historic Euro 2016 campaign which saw the Portuguese claim their first ever European title.
