Inter Milan are eyeing a summer swoop for AS Roma striker Mattia Destro, Tuttosport has revealed.
The talented forward had spent five years at Stadio Giusppe Meazza having joined from Ascoli, but he left for Genoa without making a single senior appearance for the Nerazzurri.
Nevertheless, having largely impressed at Siena and Roma, Destro is being linked with a return to Inter.
The Nerazzurri are aware Roma see the Italy international as a very important player, meaning that it would take more than €25 million to prize him away from Stadio Olimpico.
And the only way to fund such an ambitious transfer would be through the sale of Mauro Icardi, who has been causing a great deal of controversy of late.
Atletico Madrid and few more top clubs are being linked with a summer move for the Argentine starlet, who has impressed since arriving from Sampdoria, scoring 8 goals in 19 league appearances.
