Inter and Juve battle for Colombian hotshot

Inter and Juventus are both showing interest in Pescara midfielder Juan Fernando Quintero, according to La Stampa.

The 19-year-old playmaker has largely impressed at the start of the Serie A campaign and he could be one of the most sought-after players in the January transfer market.

Quintero has already attracted attention of top Italian clubs, with Inter and Juventus thought to be leading the race for his signature.

Inter president Massimo Moratti has enquired about the player’s availability, while Juventus are also showing interest in the Colombian who is likened to Marco Verratti.

Despite the fact that the youngster only joined the club in the summer, Pescara hope to take advantage of the high demand and are prepared to sell the player to the highest bidder.

Since making a €3 million move from Colombian side Envigado, Quintero has made 10 Serie A appearances, scoring one goal in the process.
