More reports have emerged from Italy claiming that Inter are close of sealing a deal for Frank Lampard, 29.
Italian paper, Corriere dello Sport, reports that Inter are indeed on the verge of signing Chelsea’s midfielder. The reported transfer fee would only be around €8m, as Lampard becomes a free agent next summer. Inter are also prepared to offer Lampard €9m per-season contract, which would put him in par with what Zlatan Ibrahimovic currently earns at the club.
In the paper, Inter’s president, Moratti, was quoted as saying: “They are both very good, but it’s not easy to buy them. As far as Gerrard is concerned I think it is really hard, but for Lampard, we’ll see.”
Another paper, Gazzetta dello Sport, had this healine on the front-page of sports daily: “Inter after Lampard.”
