Inter join race for Osvaldo

Italian daily Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Inter are the latest club to have joined the race for Roma striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo.

The Giallorossi are looking to cash in on the experienced forward, who has a long list of admirers at the moment.

The latest reports suggest that Inter boss Walter Mazzarri is hoping to lure the Italy international to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Mazzarri initially wanted to sign Osvaldo for Napoli as a replacement for Edinson Cavani, but he now plans to bring him to Inter to reinforce the attacking department at Meazza.

The Nerazzurri are not exactly in pole position to sign the highly rated forward given that Roma would rather sell him abroad, with Atletico Madrid also keen.

Inter officials are, however, not ready to give up on the player who has been scoring goals on regular basis in Italian Serie A, managing 27 goals in 55 matches for Roma.
