Inter keeping tabs on Abel Hernandez

Inter are exploring the possibility of signing Palermo hotshot Abel Hernandez, and the Neroazzurri are set to check the youngster’s potential at first hand when the two sides meet at Renzo Barbera on Sunday.

According to Italian media, Rafa Benitez is looking for a pacy forward who’s got similar characteristics to Mario Balotelli and the Spaniard sees Hernandez as the perfect fit.

The 20-year-old has largely impressed at Palermo last season and is seen as one of the biggest prospects in Serie A, so it is little wonder he’s caught the attention of Italian giants.

Inter are expected to make a move in January for the Uruguayan, who should thus become the first big name signing in Rafa Benitez’s era.

The Neroazzurri travel to Palermo on Sunday and that will be the perfect opportunity for Rafa Benitez to see up close what Abel Hernandez is all about.
