Inter Milan agree deal for Lisandro Lopez

Portuguese newspaper A Bola has learned that Inter Milan have reached an agreement to sign Argentine defender Lisandro Lopez from Benfica.

The two clubs have agreed on a six-month loan that will also contain a buy-out clause in the region of €8m-€11m.

Despite failing to nail down a regular starting berth at Estadio da Luz, Lisandro Lopez has been held in high regard by top European clubs.

The 28-year-old had impressed during a loan stint with Getafe, but he only managed 32 league appearances for Benfica in three and a half years.

Lopez now gets a chance to prove his skills in Italian Serie A, and he is expected to provide cover for Joao Miranda and Milan Skriniar at Stadio San Siro.
