The Brazilian was linked with a move to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on several occasions in the past, and he could now finally join Inter Milan.
However, persuading Wolfsburg to sell midway through the season will be no easy task, especially considering that the Wolves are effectively involved in the Bundesliga relegation dogfight.
The 29-year-old has spent last three and a half years at Volkswagen Arena, but it would appear as though his spell with Wolfsburg is drawing to a close.
