Inter Milan star heading to QPR?

The Sun is reporting that Queens Park Rangers could make a shock move for Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder in this January transfer window.

The Dutchman has been linked with a number of clubs recently as he is not on the best terms with the Serie A outfit, but a move to QPR, who are in a relegation battle in the English Premier League would be a quite remarkable story.

It is thought that Sneijder was offered to the London club by his agent, but the stumbling block in a potential move was his huge wages, believed to be around £200,000-per-week.

Harry Redknapp admitted that although a deal might be unlikely, he would love to see the former Real Madrid man at the club.

The player himself might not want to come into a side fighting for survival though as he is a Champions League winner and considered as one of the best in the world at what he does.

Moves to Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have been mentioned in recent weeks and you would say that one of these three is a more likely destination.

Football is a funny game though and stranger things have certainly happened in the past.

We shall see.
