Inter Milan to include anti-Man United clause in new Perisic deal

Croatia winger Ivan Perisic has been a subject of intense transfer speculation this summer.

The Inter Milan winger was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford and at one point it seemed as if Ivan Perisic was definitely joining Manchester United.

The 28-year-old even missed a couple of matches during Inter Milan preseason as it was believed the player himself tried to force a move to England.

Inter Milan were initially keen to sell their star player in order to balance the books to honour the FIFA Financial Fair Play, but having found alternate ways to deal with financial issues they eventually gave up on the idea of selling their prized asset which got described as invaluable to first team by new manager Luciano Spalletti.

As things stand at the moment, Ivan Perisic is close to signing a new deal with the Serie A giants and if reports from Gazeetta dello Sport are to be believed, the Nerazzurri are pushing to insert an anti-Manchester United clause in his new contract.

Inter are said to have offered their star player an improved wage package that would see him net €4.5 million a year and remain in the city of Milano until 2022.
